David Horder - General Manager

David HorderDavid originally trained as an accountant whilst studying part time for his Bachelor of Business (at UNSW) receiving a broad based grounding in business systems as an audit clerk with Irish Young & Outhwaite one of then Australia’s most respected Chartered Accountancy firms.

He left to complete his degree ( MCAE) and work in a newly acquired family business, a Restaurant in rural NSW, this provided hands on exposure to the needs and demands of small businesses and learnt the valuable lesson “that you have to be prepared to do any job yourself, because it will be required at sometime”.

David's career has been as diverse as running a country restaurant to financial controller of a public listed company and General Manager of a property & real estate group.

For the last fourteen years he has been involved in the property (as a licensed real estate agent) and finance industries. David has successfully owned and operated an Eastern Suburbs Sydney real estate office with over six hundred residential management properties and worked with several franchise groups in helping setup up and implement business, financial and property management systems including IT applications.

Whilst with the Town & Country group David was involved with the day to day running of the various companies within the group including the Town & Country real estate offices and property management divisions, along with Australian Mortgage Finance Corporation Pty Ltd which provided the mortgage broking for the investment marketing division of the group and the establishment of Town & Country Financial Services which provided risk and investment advisory to the groups clients under a Licensed Planner.
