Dan Gorman - Managing Director
Dan was already a successful Brisbane businessman when he ventured into Property Development in the late 1970s. From those early beginnings, the Group has earned a respected name in South East Queensland. Prior to that, Dan operated as one of the most successful used car dealerships in the area and followed that with the largest franchised new and used caravan dealership in Australia, operating at Rocklea, Brisbane.
Dan was appointed a Director of John Paul College (see www.johnpaulcollege.com.au), Daisy Hill, Queensland, a leading Australian Ecumenical College, in 1991 and has been Chairman of its Board of Directors since 1994.
With his business and property development acumen, leading a Board of Directors with diverse interests and backgrounds, Dan has assisted the growth of JPC into a college of world renown and expanding it substantially through strategic property acquisitions and development of the college. Currently JPC has approximately 2,600 students ranging from kindergarten to Secondary School year 12 including its renowned International College and 350 Teachers and Staff.
A visit to the College's web site will disclose a world leader in Education in this modern age, exporting its technology and systems Nationally and Internationally. Despite its forefront position in education, the college has embarked on a $15 million redevelopment program to embrace the latest technology for its students.
Dan has served on local boards and interest group committees, such as –
• Logan Region Economic Development Board;
• Bendigo Bank - Logan Community Bank which is currently the largest of the franchised Bendigo Banks with 4 Branches throughout Logan City;
• Logan Chamber of Commerce.
